In spring of 2020, the covenant Special Assistance Abroad has been implemented. Dutch and foreign travellers who applied for ‘Special Assistance Abroad’, pay a personal financial contribution of € 300 per person (within Europe) and € 900 (outside Europe).

The personal contribution is collected in collaboration with Financial service provider Betalis B.V. If you have any questions about the personal contribution, please send an email to eigenbijdrage@betalis.nl or call 0031 76 8 200 201. They aim to answer your question within 3 working days.

Frequently asked questions about paying the personal contribution

The personal contribution has not yet been debited from my bank account, is this correct?

When registering for Special Assistance Abroad it was stated that the personal contribution will be paid via a direct debit. For various reasons the contribution could not be collected in this way. That is why the traveller receives a payment request from Betalis.

From whom do I receive the request to pay the personal contribution?

You will receive an email from eigenbijdrage@betalis.nl. If we don’t have an e-mail address but we do have your post address, you will receive a payment request by post.

I have not yet received any message about paying the personal contribution, who can I contact?

Send an email to info@calamiteitenfonds.nl. Please mention your name, daily telephone number, details of your return flight (date, airline, destiny). We aim to respond to your email within 5 working days.

I have received a payment request, but the payment link in the email does not work.

You are probably using a payment link that has expired. Check if you have received a new e-mail from Betalis, this e-mail contains a new payment link. If this is not the case, please contact Betalis via email eigenbijdrage@betalis.nl.

You can also choose to manually transfer the personal contribution to IBAN account number NL96 RABO 0116909129 (BIC RABONL2U) in the name of Betalis B.V. stating the repatriation number and the document number.

I cannot pay the amount of the personal contribution in one installment, can I make a payment arrangement?

Yes, that’s possible. Send an email to eigenbijdrage@betalis.nl with a payment arrangement proposal. When the proposal for the payment arrangement is approved, Betalis will confirm the payment arrangement by e-mail.
